    From building jumps--and breaking bones--in the woods behind his boyhood home, to submitting municipal permitting forms and trying not to break bones in the woods and trails north of Boston, MA, David has spent a life outdoors: with a bike, his wife, his dogs, a camera, and sometimes all of the above.

  • Yaroslov Alpizar

    Yari, born in Russia, raised in Havana for 30 years, living in Europe for the last 18 years, between Spain, Ireland, Portugal, and a trusted VW T4. Started mountain biking in 2005 when landed in Spain and was hooked since the first day. Software engineer spending way too much time with anything related to mountain bikes. Trying to give a voice to trail builders and trail associations in Spain & Portugal. Trail Advocate of the Year 2023 award from IMBA Europe.

  • Lisa Baynes

    Lisa’s love for her community and all things bicycle-related led her to her current ventures that include the Board of Directors for The Firefly Trail, a non-profit working to develop a multi-purpose regional trail system, she also co-chairs the Firefly Local Action Committee for Greene County. Lisa is a USA Ambassador for Specialized Bicycles and is part of the governing board for Hart Farm Trails in Union Point and is the trail liaison for SORBA Athens.

  • Sean Benesh

    Sean is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Trail Builder Mag. He is also the Communications Director for the Northwest Trail Alliance in Portland, Oregon. While in grad school, he worked as a mountain biking guide in Southern Arizona. Sean also spends time in the classroom as a digital media instructor at Warner Pacific University.

  • Dale Boyd

    Five years ago, Dale’s life changed forever when he purchased his first mountain bike. Since then, he has embedded himself into the local bike culture and leadership. As a Co-Host for the Ride the Rebellion podcast, he is able to share the trials and triumphs the group faces while trying to build culture and trails on the Alabama Gulf Coast.

  • Sean Collins

    Sean lives on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. He’s 37 years old and a full-time trail builder (although he’s been digging for fun since childhood). Sean’s favorite tool is a 2.5lb pick axe. Favorite trails? Loam line and Bloodline. His current bike is a Norco Range.

    Curious with watersheds and a passion for exploring them by boat at river level or by traversing their divides along a ridge line trail.

  • Josh Dexter

    Meet Josh, a true 'Jack of all trades'—skydiver, FPV pilot, mountain biker, photographer, designer, and builder. After 30 years in Florida, he now resides in South Carolina, closer to the mountains, where he dedicates his free time to building and maintaining mountain bike trails for the CSRA region alongside running his family-owned cafe.

  • Ali Evershed

    Ali Evershed started riding mountain bikes 7 years ago and owns all the pain and joy that journey has brought her. The thrills and adventure drew her in, and the spirit of the community keeps her coming back for more. Trained as an architect, her keen spatial awareness is ever-present when she is designing, building, and maintaining trails.

  • Heidi Klippert

    Partner in Huckwagons Mountain Bike Trailers and school counselor by day. She finds solace outside, whether riding bikes, hiking, foraging for Chantrelles, or slinging dirt and digging drains. What better way to de-stress, regroup, and essentially find joy than to be in the woods, on the trail, or capture a sunset?

  • Michael Kusiek

    Michael is the Executive Director of Wyoming Pathways and has over twenty years of experience in project management for health care, education, conservation, and public lands concerns. He has worked with groups throughout South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, New York, and Colorado in performance improvement and organizational development.

  • Jerome Pageau

    I built my first trail at the age of 12 with my dad and I have been building mountain biking trails for 25 years both volunteer and paid work. I am a downhiller and an ebike rider so bring on jumps and corners. I work for Dig Trail Design out of Rossland in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. I firmly believe in giving back to my community and my way is to build and maintain trails. I feel very strongly about trails and nature and I hope I can use my voice to further discussions around trails and the people that build them.

  • Tracy Paradise

    Tracy Paradise cofounded the One Track Mind Foundation in 2017 with the help of John Danhakl, a longtime friend and mountain bike enthusiast. Her vision in creating OTM was to advance the sport of mountain biking by supporting the work of volunteers and youth in building, improving, and maintaining single track mountain bike trails. The Foundation is committed to creating opportunities for young people to develop life skills and an appreciation for the sport through unique outdoor summer programs.

  • Emily Williams

    Emily Williams started riding mountain bikes about a decade ago in Central Oregon. The time spent with friends out in the woods was what made her fall in love with mountain biking. Emily’s background is in youth development and sports management. Currently, she is the Director of Operations for a local nonprofit soccer club.
